Dr.Manish Kapoor - Mumbai
I am Dr.Manish Kapoor ,39 years old working with a MNC in Pune .I currently hold 3 credit cards with limits totaling over 10 lacs and 2 personal loans totaling to 7 lacs which I am servicing regularly and diligently. Recently I wanted a buy a new car and approached HDFC bank for the car loan. To my surprise I was told that my loan is rejected because there were some overdue on my credit card to the tune of 9 lacs. Also I was told that my score is 820. I was shocked and asked the bank to share the CIBIL report with me. Unfortunately they refused and asked me to apply for one with CIBIL. Immediately I applied for a CIR from CIBIL online by making the necessary payment.
On receiving my CIBIL report I saw there was a credit card account overdue by 9 lacs with an unknown financial institution to me in the name of SHAHA Finlease. I immediately thought that this could be a mistake and called CIBIL to confirm. But the representative from CIBIL in the call center confirmed that the account was mine and it was over due. I was wondering and still surprised about this on my CIBIL report and started searching for help on Google. That is when I came across Debt Doctor in Bangalore and I immediately called them and explained the whole situation. I was assigned one Marina from Debt Doctor who took all the details and promised to get back to me by end of day. Later in the evening I was called by Marina and she confirmed that the account was indeed mine and the original owner of the debt was Standard Chartered Bank in the year 1999. That’s when it struck to me that during my first job I applied for a card and had one with SCB with a limit of 30000.I also realized that some payment was due and my card was blocked those days and I had completely ignored it as no one from SCB has called me all these years. Then Marina explained me the math behind how 30000 could become 9 lacs which was convincing mathematically. Now having got into such a situation I did not know what to do and how to solve and I decided to enroll with Debt Doctor for their Debt Negotiation and Settlement Services program.

After enrolling the client services team at Debt Doctor immediately engaged in negotiating with Shaha finlease the new owner of the debt and arrived at a settlement of 75000 and ensured all the documentation was in place for the closure. This was a big sign of relief for me and I went ahead and settled the account. Not only that Debt Doctor also reapplied for my CIBIL report after the settlement and they also confirmed that the account the was closed in my CIBIL report.
I wrote this testimonial in detail so it could be of use to others in similar situation. I thank Debt Doctor for all the patience they have in listening to a situation like this and meticulously solve the whole issue as if it never existed. I would like to thank Marina in particular for the services she rendered to me in closing this issue. I wish Debt Doctor all the success and hope they help many more in similar situation.

I bought the CIR from CIBIL and realized that some of the account which I have closed and settled with Citibank in the past still appeared as overdue in my report. I filed dispute with CIBIL on this but got no resolution. When I called CIBIL they informed me to wait for 30 days and reapply. Even after doing that the issue was not resolved. I was politely informed by CIBIL that they will not be able to change anything unless the bank confirmed the new status and they asked me to contact the bank.
I called the call center number of Citibank several times and sent mails as requested by them. But even after may such follow-ups the issue was not resolved. During this time, I got a mailer from Debt Doctor on resolution to credit report related issues. After enrolling with Debt Doctor I was assigned to be serviced by Vimala at Debt Doctor to handle my account. She requested for the necessary documents and helped me to draft a letter to Citibank. She also continuously coordinated amongst me, Citibank and CIBIL and finally after a month the problem was resolved. I sincere thank Vimala and Debt Doctor for all the efforts without which I would have still been running pillar to post.

I work in a retail chain in Bangalore and earn a good salary. I went through a bad phase during 2008 - 09 when I did not have a job and during which I did not make regular payments of my card and loan accounts. However after I got my new job I managed to keep the accounts fairly decent if not perfect. I was not given any new loans or cards from any bank in the last two years and all my loans were rejected and the reason always was same, CIBIL score.
I also noticed that every time I applied for a CIBIL report my score was going down even though I was paying my dues on time. I could not understand why this was happening and at the same time I read about Debt Doctor in Deccan herald and approached them.
Debt Doctor understood my problem and analysed my CIBIL report. I was told that my score was going down because of the number of times I was applying for loans or cards with different banks. Then I was informed that I should completely stop applying for any new loans until the score is good for a loan or a card. After this they helped me to get a secured credit card from DCB and advised me on how to spend and make payments in a way where my score would increase over a period of time. No doubt this process took almost 14 months and today my score is 760.Also this helped me to get a home loan at the right time. I thank Debt Doctor for all the efforts they have put in advising me the right steps to be taken to increase the score. I wish them the best of luck for the years to come.

In my bad times I had settled my accounts and the account which I settled was showing as settled post write off or just settled in my CIBIL report. But times have changed now and I am doing quite well in my business. I decided to rework on the status of my account which was settled. I approached Debt Doctor in the month of January 2012 and enrolled myself into the services of Debt Doctor to achieve the same.
